The Timid Blogger

A few years ago a friend mentioned blogging as something to do. She had started one and just wrote about whatever she felt like. She introduced me the site, wordpresss.com. Its very easy to do she says. Well, luckily for me my son was around and he did the heavy lifting to get me started. I did just as she said, wrote on what I was passionate about health and  wellness and my personal journey. I thought how do I get people to see this blog?. The answer came, a news letter. So I did a newsletter and referred to my blog which was attached.

They say when the student is ready the teacher will appear. Towards the end of 2010, I just woke up and decided that I had to find a way to take advantage of the internet and the growing social media that was opening up a whole world out there and grow my home based business. So I started to do my research right there on line, to look at other peoples blog. I found sites and leads on every aspect of blogging. Sites like Blog Squad.com. I found networked blogs.com on facebook and became a member and started following other blogs. This has been very exciting.

I am reorganizing my blog based on what I have learnt and I look forward to posting every week, There’ I said it and must hold my self to it. The biggest challenge was to decide on what to blog about. I have learnt that it shouldn’t be all over the place. I am going to stick to what has been my passion for as long as I can remember, how to get well and stay well. I believe in food as medicine and I have to get herbs in there some how. But wellness is also spiritual and mental so there, I guess that what this blog will be about.

I invite you to join me here and post your comments below please sign up to get my newsletter and alerts to new posts.

Hi Kathleen, Great post. I will go check out those sites as I am looking for ways to get more traffic myself and I can always learn from those who have done it before me! And as for your topic, health is the first wealth! Totally agree. however that health is many areas and I am searching to get people to understand that it isn’t the “look” good that should be the motivator but the feel GOOOOD! Wellness it totally mental and spiritual. I will be back!
